This happened yesterday at the Harris Teeter near my house. I haven’t shopped there in a couple months because it’s not on the way to anything besides the sticks, but I’m glad to know that if things go down while I’m there, passerby will throw down with poultry.
Frozen turkey slowed carjacker, police say
A passerby armed with a frozen turkey came to the rescue of a woman who was being attacked by a carjacker Sunday outside a grocery store, Fuquay-Varina police say.
The thief, who was struck on the head with the frozen bird, still managed to drive off in the woman’s Nissan Maxima, but he didn’t get far, Police Chief Larry Smith said.
