My lack of stuff to write about won’t stop me from writing.
I haven’t wirtten much lately, but here’s a synopsis of every work day, really:
- wake up, stagger to shower, shave, prepare for work, snag food on way out the door
- get to work at 9 on the dot, thereby avoiding stern looks from the Man of Action
- work work work work
- Man of Action microwaves salmon and parades its aroma down the hall, taunting me and waving it around in my doorway
- work work
- lunch at Mitch’s
- work work work
- 3PM coffee in my office
- work work
- gym, possibly with Billy and/or Rob
- go home, eat, watch TV, waste time, go to bed
So yeah, it’s not too exciting.
I have found that the way I can pummel allergies is to take an Alavert in the morning and another Alavert and 2 Benadryl downers at night.
Also Grey Goose helps.
We went to the spring football game a couple of weeks ago, and I had been ordered to take pictures for a couple of people, so here they are.
That morning, I also ran a 5K. This was the first time I had run a 5K outdoors and also the first time I had run in any kind of actual race. Melissa asked me to do it the night before, when we were at Bo, and I agreed. The next morning I was outside in soccer shorts at 7:45 am, 39 degrees, 20 mph winds, cursing myself. My number was 218 and I think they wrote a letter on there that indicated that I was female. But I ran and ran, and I kept up with K-Serg the entire way, as he was my unaware pacecar. I guess my final time was about 24 minutes, but I’m not sure because the race results are traveling to the web via slow-moving barge.
Oh, here’s an interesting story for those of you who have expressed an interest in going to the NCSU@Temple football game on September 10. The game might not happen. Seems Temple is the Division I-A Village Bicycle, and about three of her suitors have showed up at the same time, are furious, want to know who the other guys are, how long this has been going on, give me back my Whitesnake t-shirt you three-timing whore of a university, and try not to schedule any more simultaneous games on the way to the parking lot.
