like whoa
My God, I can get a new computer for $50 less than what I paid for my camera.

It was nice to see Keralaner get pounded last night at the ESA. I began watching the game downstairs with Billy, Chris, and Cynthia. Mandy did not watch, for she knows that when she watches, we lose. They were up on us 46-36 at halftime, and I was in a foul mood. So then I tested out our hypothesis that states:
IF Tony watches the game in his own room,
THEN State will win.
So I went upstairs for the second half. State gets the ball, gets 7 points quickly. The plan is working. Excellent. So then we begin taking it to the Heels like we are capable of doing. Final score: NCSU 98, UNC 76.
We got in the car and paraded up and down Hillsborough St, but only a few dozen fans shared our excitement. Billy was, for some reason, quite averse to honking. We got some pictures of the Bell Tower all lit up in red. It was cool. My pictures turned out kind of blurry mostly because I’m not an expert on the use of my own camera quite yet.
And now it is today, and I am at work. I could have used a 3-day weekend. I am so tired. I’m looking at IBM stuff till I’m blue in the face, and it is as exciting as watching already-dried paint continue to be dry. Why is the “working” lemon smiling? He must have a fun job.
Hooray for Rosemary! Not only was she accepted into UMD (surprise!) but they are giving her nearly $23,000 a year plus tuition! That is a ridiculous deal. But good for her! Hard work pays off, it appears. Maybe one day I’ll try that.
I have had another busy day today. Testing and making webpages all day. I was going to go to the gym after work, but Cynthia gave me an offer I couldn’t refuse: a picnic. So maybe I will go to the gym after that. I appear to be getting thinner — the Bojangles shirt that I am wearing today used to fit a lot more snugly than it does now. (irony? yes.) And this is only the 3rd time I’ve worn it, I think. But enough of me prattling on about that.
Time to go home.
So, you like my hideous webpage? No? Well, I don’t either, but I have had enough of working on this for now, so it’s stuck like this, unfinished, until I am in a better mood one day.
The only good thing that came out of today was that I had a great workout. Cycled 35min and was not even really tired. Felt good.
Well, goodnight.
Well, this has been a most exhausting day. Work and work and work.
Think I might go to the gym now. I haven’t been in a while. I have lost a couple pounds, and have gotten unsolicited compliments that I look thinner. Yet my actual weight has only dropped about 2 pounds.
I have only spent $3 in the last 3 days! I can not believe it. I am usually a big spender. But I have brought my lunch all week. Saving money is good.
Want to hear me ramble some more? No? Then I’m going to the gym, man.
Holy crap! In the first 13 hours of today, my friends have posted 12 journal entries. I have posted zero until now. I have noticed, though, that in my last journal I wrote the sentence “So here I sit, a-wastin’ away with some Jerry Garcia on this windy day,” which has to be the most uncharacteristic thing for me to write. What the hell? Where did it come from? Since when do I listen to Jerry Garcia? Or write like that? Or talk like that? The answer is that I don’t, but I guess I do now. Maybe that was the Sunny Delight talking.
Bought an incense burner this weekend, and some patchouli. Ha! No, I didn’t, fool; that was a joke. The Jerry Garcia was uncharacteristic of me, I tell you. Uncharacter-damn-istic.
So I see that Jason has done got hisself a new camera. Bully for him. He’ll enjoy it; the G2 is supposed to be a sweet camera. And it looks like a camera too, as opposed to my camera which looks like an instrument of terror. Speaking of it, UPS tracking says that I should finally get it back today, 4 weeks after I sent it off for repair. Am I excited? Oh yes. Yes I am.
Just got back from Quizno’s. Went there with Cynthia. . . such a good sub they make. Speaking of subs, there were people in the Jersey Mike’s this week doing some cleaning. Maybe they’re making a comeback again?
Went to try to play basketball at the Rose Garden, but it was occupado. So here I sit, a-wastin’ away with some Jerry Garcia on this windy day.
What a fine day it is! I’m gonna do some cleaning up around here with the music blastin, then go outside and do something. Dunno what yet, but it is a sweet day.
Jason is in Greensboring, as is Chris, and the Billymander is at SE Raleigh HS helping out with some math thing. I am home alone with many watts of the old LL Cool J.
“You got me shook up, shook down, shook out onnnnnn your loving.”
A sad day. Waylon Jennings has passed away. He was the guy who sang the Dukes of Hazzard theme, and provided narration during the show, saying stuff like “looks like ‘em Duke boys are like some ol’ hound dogs ’bout to go a-diggin in a hornet’s nest” or “now don’t that just beat all?” Of course, he was a famous country singer first and foremost, but I know him because of the Dukes.
Just two good ole boys,
Never meaning no harm.
Beats all you never saw, been in trouble with the law
Since the day they was born.
Straightenin’ the curves,
Flattenin’ the hills.
Someday the mountain might get ‘em but the law never will.
Makin’ their wayyyyyy, the only way they know how.
Well, that’s just a little bit more than the law will allow.
Just two good ole boys,
Wouldn’t change if they could.
Fightin’ the system like two modern day Robin Hoods.
So I thought “I like those new Redskins jerseys, maybe I’ll consider buying a replica.” Usually they’re ~$100. So I go to redskins.com, and as it turns out, they’re not going to be available until April. And when they are, they’ll cost $270! That’s a lot. So I set my sights a bit lower, and found a hat that I think I’ll get instead.
Aaron has taught me a bunch about SQL today. I am proud to be constructive.
